I bought this book because....
VERY INFORMATIVEI recommend this book to all parents!
A Lifesaver!I hate to admit this, but my child can navigate through the internet better than me or my husband! How are we to protect her? Detective Sullivan not only taught me how to take control of my family's online experience, but he did so in a language that I can understand.
I am most grateful for this informative book, and urge all parents of children online to start educating yourselves now.

Block introduces Evan Tanner
The start of something beautifulWhile the later novels are spy stories with satirical overtones, this one is a crime caper with spies in pursuit and a comedy of errors in progress.
I can't recommend the series highly enough. It's literate, it's funny, and the commentary on European ethnic nationalism is still extremely valid.
Hilarious!

Good book to have, but crappy otherwise
Good, but not a how-to book
A must have for a restoration of a 1964-1972 OldsIf you are restoring an Olds or thinking about it, this book is a MUST have! While it's not a 'HOW-TO' book, the data and photos will help you along the way to a perfect restoration. Plus, this book makes for great reading, if your an Oldsmobile fan!
This book is worth its weight in gold when it comes to restoring an Oldsmobile, Believe me.

Great Overview of Parisitology

Very Poor
A must-have book
The Academic's PerspectiveThose who teach in the domains of internatonal criminal law or humanitarian law would be remisted from not including this volume on their required reading list. It provides students with an in-depth understanding of the first court to try international criminals since Nuremburg. This effort is a must for any law library.

Wounded in action--factual account or soapbox?
When it comes to war, listen to the voice of experience!
Intense! The reality of war is in this book!

Sullivan tells it like it is.
A fresh political voice
As a Guide, or to Reflect

Cheap and Nifty referance or a skim of an introductionBut I give this four stars because in general it is a good little book and I do not regret buying it one bit.
If you are looking for a really good book on the subject I would HIGHLY sugest a book on crystals by Maya Heath though her books can be hard to find.
Blessed be.
Incredible resourceThe ONLY crystal book I have read that is superior to this one is "Love Is In The Earth: A Kaleidoscope Of Crystals" by Melody
I did detect a few errors in this book.
1. Page 20: "Natural gemstones do not lose their power with age or use."
This is not so. I have seen Amethyst's, Labradorite, Smoky Quartz, Obsidian, Raindow Obsidian, Ametrine, etc; lose their coloration with use.
2. Page 42: the author states that Bloodstone is "Technicaly, it is a type of opaque Quartz"
Blood Stobe is not a quartz. It is a Heliotrope.
3. On page 125-126 the author discusses Tigers Eye, and Cat's Eye as if both stone are one and the same.
This is not so. It's true that both Tigers eye, and Cat's eye are asbestos fibers in silicon dioxide; but the appearance, and price varies greatly.
In Cat's eye the fibers are straight, and the stone is more eye like in appearance. This is a gem quality stone at gem quality prices!
In Tigers Eye: the fibers are crumpled or twisted. I have picked up nice specimens of Tiger's Eye in four different colors as cheaply as 75 cents each!
Implying that Cat's Eye and Tiger's Eye are the same stone is like saying that Peridot and Olivine are the same stone. Peridot is gem quality, and olivine is not. I bought a nice peice of Olivine for 50 cents.
Over all except for these few pointsl this book is an excelent resource.
Excellent Crystal info -- but no pictures

What a disappointment - Don't judge a book by it's cover
This book will inspire you to want a garden shed.
After looking at this book you will want a garden shed.

new york in photosincredible collection here. my only disappoitment, which is a slight one, is that the 90's section does not seem to have the same feel as the other decades do
An Excellent New York Photo Documentary
The dailiness of New York life.To get great photos the paper had always invested in its photo department, which by the fifties had two planes, ten radio cars, a brigade of motorcycle couriers and a staff of sixty-three to insure no story was missed. This book shows the benefits of this investment. Eight chapters are devoted to a photo record of the decades from the twenties thru the nineties and as the News was a tabloid, the rough and tumble of daily is revealed, politicians, celebrities, sport, crime (some of these predictably stark) the everyday and when appropriate, the weather. Each photo has very detailed captions and thankfully, the photographer's name.
Shawn O'Sullivan, who works on the paper, writes in a short essay titled 'Photography at the Daily News' 'In making this book, we sought to show the images in all of their original beauty, as the photographer originally witnessed the scene....' I think this was a mistake, newspaper photographers don't know how a photo is going to be used on the page and they try to take plenty of shots, so that Photo Editors will have lots of choice. I have a book published in 1979 celebrating fifty years of the News and it has many of the same photos as this latest book but in the earlier book the photos are handled in a much tighter way and sensibly trimmed to get the best from the image.
Apart from some of the photo trimming I enjoyed New York Exposed, a photographic book that captures the dailiness of New York life. If you lived in the city it will be a stimulating reminder of the last eighty years.
Sullivan really takes me through the process step by step starting with the profile of an online predator -how to identify one, and finally how to avoid and protect your family. The book ends with a plethora of valuable resources from security software to smart cyber behavior, and finally various national organizations that identify and support this very important issue..
Detective Mike Sullivan patrols the cyber playgrounds and teaches parents how to do the same.
